After first getting together in 2013 Harper's Fellow quickly became one of the most popular bands in the legendary Asbury Park music scene. By the time they celebrated their first "bandiversary" they had recorded and released their debut album and embarked a 10 day tour that brought them to Nashville, Asheville, Louisville, Washington DC, Newark Delaware, and Philadelphia. Back home in Asbury Park they were sharing the stage with Jesse Malin, Griffin House, Scars On 45, The Weeks, King's X, Hollis Brown and River City Extension. Then, at the end of 2013 they were nominated for 5 Asbury Music Awards including Top Female Vocalist, Top Guitarist, Top Drummer, and Top Single Release. After performing at the awards ceremony they took home the coveted Record Of The Year award for their self-released debut Thanks For Tonight.
This single will be their first new release since the release of their album. "The River" is a new song that they recorded in the fall of 2013 with producer Pat Noon (Brick + Mortar, River City Extension, The Front Bottoms), "Bow & Arrow" is from their award winning debut album, and "Jolene" is a cover of a Ray Lamontagne song that they recorded during the making of Thanks For Tonight.
